Oven installation
First, the electrical circuit designated for the oven is checked to ensure it can handle the appliance’s power requirements. The oven is then positioned in its allocated space, ensuring proper ventilation and clearance as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Electrical connections are made by attaching the oven’s wiring to the circuit, typically requiring a dedicated outlet or hardwiring, depending on the oven type. Once connected, the oven is secured in place, levelled, and tested to ensure it heats properly and all functions work as intended.
Electric shower installation
The process begins with selecting an appropriate location that provides easy access to both water and electrical supplies. The cold water supply is connected to the shower unit, and the necessary electrical wiring is run from a dedicated circuit at the consumer unit to the shower. This wiring is protected by an RCD (Residual Current Device) for safety. The shower unit is mounted securely on the wall, with all connections properly sealed to prevent water ingress. Finally, the water and electrical supplies are turned on, and the shower is tested to ensure it heats water correctly and operates safely.
Extractor fan installation
The process typically starts with selecting the appropriate location for the fan, usually on an external wall or ceiling where it can effectively remove moisture or cooking fumes. After cutting an opening for the fan, the next step is running the necessary electrical wiring from a nearby power source, ensuring that the wiring complies with local safety regulations. The fan unit is then mounted securely, connected to the wiring, and any ducting required for venting to the outside is installed. Finally, the power is turned on, and the fan is tested to ensure it operates correctly.
